The Da Silva Surfcamp Portugal is a typical Portuguese country house in the middle of nature without any road traffic in the immediate vicinity. The property is surrounded by vast fields and from everywhere you have a fantastic view over the green landscape and a wide valley up to the opposite villages. From the huge sun terrace you can comfortably lie in your hammock and see the blue sea and the beach resort Praia da Areia Branca.
In the evening, you can enjoy a wonderful sunset here. There are several beautiful paths through the landscape to the beach, where you can reach it on foot in about 20 minutes. With the beach cruiser, which you can rent for free from us, you don’t need 10 minutes and by car you can reach the beach in 3 minutes. Although you are so close to the Atlantic Ocean, you have the feeling of being somewhere in the country far away from the hustle and bustle of beach life.

The rooms in the main house
The double room, the 3-bed room and the terrace room are on the first floor of the main house and share a bathroom with shower on th e ground floor, while the terrace room also has a private toilet. The 7-bed room is located in an annex next to the kitchen. The shared rooms each have their own shower room. The 7-bed room also has a warm outside shower and offers a small kitchenette with fridge.
The communal kitchen, where breakfast is served every morning, is located on the ground floor next to the large covered outdoor area, where the barbecue evenings are also held.
Quarto do Terraço
Double or 4-Bed Room
The terrace room is located on the first floor of our main house above the fireplace room. The room has a loft bed with double mattress. Below it there is a toilet with a sink and a small table where you can play cards. In the front part of the room there is a cosy sitting area. The sofa can be turned into a comfortable double bed, so that the room is suitable for two couples or even better for a couple with two children. But the highlight is without doubt the big sun terrace (partly covered), from which one has a great view over the wide landscape up to the Atlantic Ocean. The terrace can also be reached via an outside staircase (from Mario and Elke’s courtyard). Therefore sometimes other guests sunbathe there, but in the evening we ask you to keep the night’s rest. Showers can be taken in the common bathroom on the ground floor or in the (warm) outdoor shower around the corner.

Quarto Zambujeira
Double Room
The double room on the first floor of the main house can be reached via the internal staircase from the kitchen or the fireplace room. The room has two single beds, which can also be pushed together to form a double bed. If necessary, a cot can also be added. The window offers a great view over the wide landscape to the opposite village Zambujeira. The bathroom with shower on the ground floor is shared with guests staying in the other two rooms on the first floor. In the room with the fireplace, however, there is a guest WC for urgent cases.

Quarto Abelheira
Double or Triple Room
Also located on the first floor of the main house, if you look out of the window of this room, you can see the village of Abelheira on the horizon. The room has a double bed and a plateau (gallery) with a single mattress. Perfect for a couple with a child or 3 adults who love each other very much. The bathroom on the ground floor is also shared with the other two rooms on the first floor.

Quarto Vermelho
7 bed suite
Our 7 bed suite is in a separate building just around the corner from the kitchen and diagonally across from our bar. The room has 3 bunk beds and above the bathroom with shower there is a loft bed (gallery) with another single mattress ideal for People who are over 2 meters tall because the foot end is open. The room is ideal for large families or larger groups of friends and offers a small kitchenette with fridge. Outside, next to the front door, you can take a wonderful warm shower outdoors and enjoy the view over the wide landscape.

- From 4 people (adults): 35 EUR or 25 EUR

Elkes Caravan
You can also book a camper van with us and / or of course you can arrive with your own camper van. The prices for this are the same as for our shared rooms (minimum occupancy: 2 adults). For two persons this has the advantage that they are alone in the caravan and do not have to pay the double room surcharge. The caravan has an electricity connection, the built-in toilet must not be used. Of course the guests are allowed to use the bathroom and kitchen in the main house, as well as the whole outside area.

Caravan M & M
Caravan M & M is a cosy caravan with space for 2 people. The prices for this are exactly the same as for our shared rooms (minimum occupancy: 2 adults). For two people, this has the advantage that they are alone in the caravan and do not have to pay the double room supplement. The caravan has an electricity connection, the built-in toilet may not be used. Of course, guests may share the bathroom and kitchen in the main house, as well as the entire outdoor area.

Andi's Caravan – VW LT28 (1987)
Andi’s caravan is a vintage VW LT28 from 1987, a charming vehicle lovingly maintained over the years. Today, this iconic model is considered a classic, radiating plenty of nostalgic charm. The caravan occupies an elevated position, located directly above our three brand-new Tiny Houses Deluxe, offering spectacular sunrise views every morning.
Inside, there’s a cosy overhead bed above the driver's cabin that comfortably sleeps two. Additionally, the dining area converts into a spacious double bed by folding down the table and rearranging the seat cushions. This setup is perfect for a couple with one or two children, although theoretically, the caravan can accommodate up to four adults if they're comfortable being close. Andi’s VW LT28 is ideal for anyone seeking nostalgic camper vibes and relaxation close to nature.

People
Our surf camp in Portugal is an open, welcoming place – a home where you arrive easily and feel comfortable right away. Most of our guests speak German, which makes it easy to connect, chat, and quickly feel part of the group. Creating a relaxed, family-like atmosphere where everyone feels welcome is very important to us. Twice a week we host shared BBQ evenings, which are included in the price. On the other evenings, everything is easygoing and open – many guests still eat together, cook as a group, or head out to a nearby restaurant. This naturally creates that classic camp vibe, where no one has to be alone, but everyone is free to choose what feels right for them. As we are half Portuguese ourselves, the camp often feels like one big family. Friends of ours regularly stop by – real locals who enrich the atmosphere with their openness and warmth. Spontaneous BBQs, campfires, or long conversations under the stars happen naturally and make many evenings truly special. Our goal is to create a place that is authentic, familiar, and relaxed. It’s not just about surfing here, but about shared experiences, genuine connections, and the feeling of being part of a small surf camp family for a while.
