DA SILVA "BOM-BAR"

Naturally, we still love to celebrate. And of course, from time to time, we are still drawn outside – to beach cafés, surf bars, barracas or into the nightlife of Praia da Areia Branca or Baleal. But the really big parties, loud nights and classic party programs are no longer our focus. Today, it’s more about lively evenings, good conversations and finding just the right balance between atmosphere and relaxation. And because all of this comes together best in a bar, we simply built one.

Welcome to the BOM-BAR.

The name is a Portuguese wordplay with several layers. "Bom Bar" simply means good bar. At the same time, "bombar" is a colloquial verb meaning to boom, to be buzzing or to be doing really well.

Or, as people say here: O bar está a bombar! – the bar is buzzing. And yes, sometimes there really is a lot going on.

The BOM-BAR is not a place for wild club nights, but it is certainly not a quiet living room either. These are long evenings where you stay a little longer. Where people laugh, music plays, new connections are made, and one drink easily turns into two. As a family camp, it is important to us to create spaces where all generations can meet. That’s why our weekly karaoke nights and table football tournaments also take place here. They are especially popular with our younger guests but are very much not just for kids. Quite the opposite: parents, friends and other guests are always right in the middle of it, singing along, cheering and turning the evening into something special together.

Outside of our events, the BOMBAR remains a place for relaxed, grown-up socializing. Children are very welcome during our shared bar events – but during regular bar hours, it is deliberately a space for adults who want to enjoy the evening, linger and unwind.

In short: the BOM-BAR is a good bar.

And sometimes, it simply booms – in our very own, camp-style way.

And because it was and is so beautiful and you have to go out at home every now and then, once a year – whenever it is coldest in Berlin – a reunion takes place. For those who have been there and all those who would like to go.
